Reminder of Open Volunteer Positions

You know that LCWA is run mostly by volunteers, right? We’d like you to volunteer. Contact me, Dana Simmons (president@lcwireless.net), if you’d like to volunteer in some way, and I’ll find something for you that meets your skills and schedule.

With that in mind, there are lots of one-off and ongoing things you can do. Here is a list of current ongoing open volunteer roles:

• 1-800 Support Call Transcriber (this one is really easy, and we need more to do this)
• 1-800 Support Call Manager (a little more time needed but very rewarding!)
• Treasurer (okay, a lot more responsibility, but quite praiseworthy!)
• New Member Installer: we always need people to help with that. Technical interest helps, but we’ll train you.
• Access Point Maintenance Assistance: highly technical, may lead to a paid position for you.
• Project Help: contact me and add your name to a list of people that can be available for on-off projects. We’ll give you a call when one comes up.
