New LCWA Billing System
Dear LCWA Member
Starting February 1, our billing system upgraded to a new system. Result: your monthly invoices will look different, and you may or may not make payments differently. Here are the changes:
- It’s getting simpler: In the new system starting Feb 1, the payment “portal” will go away; instead, you’ll be able to pay right from a button in the invoice email you’ll get. So no more hassles if you are out of town and cannot reach the portal.
- Onetime Credit Card Update Needed. If you have a credit card saved in the old system, then on or after Feb 1 you’ll need to re-enter your credit card in the new system and save it. To do that, simply open the Feb 1 invoice email, click the Pay Now button, and enter the new credit card. Designate auto-pay on a checkbox on that pay site.
- No Change Needed for Checks: If you pay by check or by automatic bank bill pay, the payment process will not change for you, just keep everything in place as is. Payment addresses and banks are the same.
- Important Note on Past Due Amounts: Any amounts past due from 2021, or for the Jan 2022 invoice, will be paid through the old billing system. That means for some of you, if you are behind on payments into February, you might get two invoices in February: one for the overdue amount from the old system; and one for the upcoming month of service from the new system. You should pay both, separately. No way to combine the two.
- If you prepaid for months ahead (a few of you have), we will hand-transfer that payment over as a credit in the new system. No worries and no changes in process.
Note that we are doing a complete swap of our membership system. So there will be changes in the look of emails and communications from us. Thanks for your patience with our systemupgrade!
