We’ve been gently urging (pushing) members to activate their LCWA portals account, mainly because with you paying by credit card on the portal, it helps save us the processing fees we pay when handling paper checks. And so, switching to credit card payments helps keep everyone’s monthly service rates lower. For that reason, we are grateful that our portal membership is growing very fast! And note, there are other reasons that activating your portal account benefits you.

Perhaps the biggest additional benefit is that a complete record of all your payments is visible to you right on the portal, so you can see where you stand and what you paid. Also, you can edit your personal information stored in LCWA right on the portal, which helps us contact you should we need to.

Also, we’ve had a few delinquent payment situations with some members, and the credit card payment on the portal helps them catch up with a large-past due balance. By the way, we are in the process of chasing down the remaining delinquent accounts by contacting the members. So if you are one, maybe save us the trouble and jump on the portal and get up to date?

And finally, you can enter help tickets right on the portal, which means you can provide greater detail on any network issues you are trying to convey to us, and possibly speed up our response. Of course, if your network is down you will still need to call in your trouble ticket (800-536-6149); obviously you can’t get to the portal if no Internet! But it can still help otherwise.
