Ten Members Were Chosen
Thank you all for your offers to be hosts for our special speed test boxes. There was a very large response to our April 14 email asking for volunteers, and we are very appreciative. Over 50 members stepped up.
As mentioned in that letter, we only had 10 boxes to distribute, and as of today we have chosen those 10 members. Each member selected was sent an email on Wednesday confirming our selection of them. So, if you did not get an email Wednesday, there is no need to reach out and ask if you were chosen (sorry, you weren’t). Those emails were sent to the same address this newsletter is sent to.
That said, we may reach out to a few other of you, later, if we decide we need to place a few more boxes.

In case you did not see that April 14 email, we are testing certain LCWA network segments for actual speed using small test boxes we are asking strategically located members to plug into their router.
The data we collect from this will help guide our infrastructure upgrades throughout the neighborhoods in the LCWA coverage area. It will help us prioritize upgrades, and it will help us confirm success or failure of upgrades.
