What’s Going On?

LCWA is scrambling to respond to the huge increase in internet traffic on our network caused by the Covid-19 crisis. We are responding by upgrading key backbone radios throughout the network to higher-capacity models. We’ve completed one portion of the upgrade, but many more are coming.

This Friday we are replacing and upgrading backbone radios in the hills above Old Santa Fe Trail. This will lead to outages lasting as long as 4 hours Friday in that area. Work is starting at 11 am and running to 3 pm or beyond. The backbone radios in this area are all linked together, and we must do them all at once. There is no way to avoid an outage while doing this work.

Am I Affected?

All members who are affected will receive several email notices sent to the email address on file for their account (where invoices are sent). If you received that email, it means you are in this area and will be affected at some point in that range of time. (We’ve listed the specific access points below). There is no need to contact us and ask us if you are affected because, if you got that email, you are affected. If you did not, you are not.
